I need to learn how to make moulds for ARAH Weapons and Accessories, Heads, Torsos, Legs and even Arms.... can anyone out in Project: ARAH land help me out?
I wanna know what materials are best to use for both the molds as well as what to use to cast the actual pieces.
Thank you to all at Project: ARAH.

1st thing you need is $200 you can throw away.

you'll go through that buying supplies and making mistakes.

Do you have access to a pressure Pot, or are you going to make one for yourself?

Answering that question will help determine the best way for you to cast.

And it'll make a huge difference in the quality of your castings, and what you'll be able to cast too.

Unfortunately that is not possible. But yes, the first question you need to answer is pressure pot or no pressure pot.

Does a pressure cooker work?

I won't say all, but a good percentage of us use converted pressure cookers.

With a pot, you get better quality, I'm assuming? But no pot seems cheaper.....
All I really want to do is to be able to make replicas of weapon, heads, torsos, and well, all parts, so I don't have to ruin part of a figure to make a custom.

When I don't use a pot my casts are pretty much unusable. The curing process releases gas, without pressure to keep it from bubbling you get crap.

Check out Harbor Freight, online they have $80 Pressure pots right now, they can order them to the store to save SH costs.

Paint Pots are getting rarer - pro painters don't use them as much anymore, so Craigs List is the way to go.

There is a lot of info on the web. Every other collector of toys has interest in casting, MOTU, Transformers, Thundercats and quite a few customizer websites. Take about 2 hours out of your day and Google search your ass off.

Paint pots are really overkill volume wise for anyone except the production artist, not to mention the extra time it takes to clamp them down properly. Remember your compressor has to be of a larger volume than your pot.
